From 1st June 2022 till 31 May 2023 the Foundation Smart minds is a partner in Nordplus Adult 2022 project “Training of environmentally friendly (sustainable) work culture in the Manufacturing Sector (2Change)”, project number NPAD-2022/10072. Project is led by Vilnius Jeruzale Labour Market Training Centre (Lithuania).
Technologies, working conditions and the environment are changing. There is a need to change the approach to environmental protection, material saving and even working time, as it means more efficient use of energy. Without seeking to separate behaviour at work from behaviour outside the workplace, we must follow the same rules and follow the same values everywhere, but we are not taught them in vocational education and training (VET) today sufficiently. Therefore, with this project, we will provide materials for VET teachers to support changing the mentality for more sustainable work culture in the manufacturing sector.
Project’s main aim is to prepare the training program and provide vocational education and training (VET) teachers with the knowledge and skills needed about sustainability at work to teach manufacturing students.
Project’s main activities and results are:
1) Established guidelines for the training of VET teachers for sustainability at work in manufacturing sector;
2) Organized round table discussion about content in each country;
3) Developed and adjusted a teacher training program;
4) Pilot training of teachers in each country;
5) Translation of materials in Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian.
Target group: VET and adult teachers.
